Description:
Megaprojects require the alignment of strategic goals and objectives of public and private organisations. To provide effective governance of megaprojects, the partnership and collaboration of public organisations that charter the megaprojects and the private organisations that implement them are required. This session will present the processes and techniques necessary to create strategic alignment with megaproject stakeholders and consult case analysis of successful and unsuccessful European megaprojects, including London's Crossrail and the Berlin-Brandenburg Airport.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the processes and techniques to align stakeholders and strategic goals;2. Describe the value of good project governance.
